Python and MongoDB

MongoDB's powerful and flexible document data model works particularly well with Python applications. Dicts, lists, timestamps, and even binary data can all be stored natively in the database, with the additional power of indexing, joining, and MongoDB's powerful query APIs. Whether you're building with traditional frameworks or asynchronous frameworks, our PyMongo and Motor drivers offer you first-class support, direct from the source.
We know that Python developers do many different things, and we have something for everyone:

Web Developers

Web developers can build powerful, scalable, quick web applications using the FARM stack - that's FastAPI, React, and MongoDB. We're going to have running demos at the booth, where we can dig into the code and talk about how to build applications with MongoDB and the web framework of your choice.

Data Engineering

Maybe you're a data engineer or a data scientist? In which case, you'll be interested in PyMongoArrow, our extension to PyMongo that adds native support for quickly extracting your MongoDB documents into Numpy, Pandas, and Polars datastructures.
Or if you're working with streaming data, you'll be interested in Atlas Stream Processing, connecting your live stream of data changes to Kafka, allowing you to use MongoDB as a source or sink for events, or even as a streaming query processor, with Python doing the heavy lifting wherever you decide.

Artificial Intelligence

MongoDB's first-class support for AI frameworks such as LangChain and SuperDuperDB libraries just enhance MongoDB Atlas's vector search capabilities. We'll have a demo of multi-modal vector search that you can play with on your mobile phone, and then dig down into the source.

Come Talk to Us!

MongoDB engineers will be at our booth at PyCon US, ready to talk to you about the features offered to Python developers by the MongoDB Atlas Developer Data Platform, and to answer any questions you may have, whether you're new to MongoDB, or a seasoned expert looking to up your game.
